Navigation Lighting
Focused on lighting?
Attwood is always the bright spot in marine
navigation lighting. Our certified components help you meet the latest
USCG regulations with style and durability.
Take advantage of fresh styling and engineering
innovations with Attwood, the boat builder's most complete source for
navigation lights.
Types of Navigation Lights
Attwood offers four basic types of navigation lights:
sidelights,
all-round lights, masthead lights and
transom lights. These types are differentiated
by lens color, beam angle (horizontal cut-off angle), and location on
the boat. All lights are for 12-volt DC applications only. Styles may
vary, but the color, cut-off angle, and location must always comply with
USCG standards.
Attwood offers the widest range of sidelights in the marine industry.
For boats large and small, in vertical mounts or horizontal, in numerous
materials and colors -- the selection is excellent.
From the small-footprint of the Pulsar series, to the elegance of the
Quasar or the newest 2-Mile stainless, Attwood truly has a sidelight for
any boat design.

Attwood all-round lights offer two-mile 360 degree
visibility and are suitable on boats up to 39.4 ft. (12 meters). Power
of vessels less than 39.4 ft. may show a single all-round light in
lieu of separate masthead and stern light. Attwood all-round lights are
available in a variety of head, pole, and base styles to fit most style
boats and installation locations. On boats under 12 meters, the 360
degree all-round light is the most important navigation light because it
can be seen by others from any direction. The drawback is that, in some
cases, old-style all-round lights create an onboard safety hazard
for the driver-blinding glare at the helm.
Attwood offers a choice of all-round lights,
both antiglare and frosted globe.
Anti-Glare
Lights
Attwood's antiglare all-around light goes
beyond current regulations to reduce the danger of onboard glare.
The precision lens focuses the light beam to the horizon where it's
needed - 360 degree without diffusion - keeping out of the driver's
field of view. It allows the operator to see while being certain
that the boat is seen.
The new articulating head Anti-Glare light
makes it even easier to eliminate glare. The patented articulating
head adjusts from 15 degree fore to
15 degree aft to fit all base
angles and typical deck installations.
Frosted Globe Lights
Attwood's standard frosted globe,
all-round light is also available. Frosted Globe lights, when
properly located, provide effective 360 degree visibility.

Masthead lights offer three-mile, 360 degree light
visibility and are used on boats up to 65.6 ft. (20 meters).
With its new 7200 series, Attwood has completely
redesigned the anchor/masthead light. The design is clean and
good-looking, far in advance and anything else in the industry.

The clear lens shines in an arc of the horizon at
135 degree. The precision lens design focuses the light aft, keeping the
operator in a "shadow". For mounting as near as possible at the stern.
These lights provide two-mile transom visibility
for pleasure craft up to 164 ft. in length. 304 stainless steel with a
plastic body and watertight lamp socket. It may also be used as a
stainless cockpit courtesy light.
